The one message highlighted more in this conference than any of the previous conferences: there is a lot of change coming. Change to our industry, change to the workforce, and change in the way we need to conduct business moving forward.
And, we have a choice. We can choose to look for the opportunities. Or, like the skeptics at the beginning of the auto industry, we can choose to mock the innovators of our day (by brushing off the change and telling them to go buy a good horse)or we can still continue to look for the next biggest thing in good horse whips. Either way,those looking to hold onto the past will remain in the past. The good news is for those looking to embrace the change and the future, the opportunities are extremely bright and the playing field has been leveled in many of the different job segments.
